Well, here's what I did with the 86th sketch...
For this layout I used an old My Mind's Eye Collection.

CARDABILITIES #70: Be True

The last day of February and also my last entry as one of Cardabilities Design Team members.'For me it's time to move over and make place for a whole new Team.

I've been a member of the Cardabilities team for a little over a year (4 terms) and I have to say: I had a lot of fun working with Karan's sketches and it was great to be on the team. I know the new team members will love their place in the new team and I wish them all the best.

 

Time for the card (#70) I made. I loved the sketch and I really had fun making this card.

Tim Holtz' 12 Tags of 2013: February

Finally a had some time to sit down and start on Tim Holtz' February-tag before the month is over.
February has been a really crazy month for me. Next month will be crazy too, but after that I think ít's getting a bit less hectic.

As to be expected I didn't have all the stuff Tim used on his tag, but I think it turned out well.

INSPIRED BLUEPRINTS #84: Faces

It's Thursday night in Europe and already Friday Down Under. What better way to start of the weekend than with a new Inspired Blueprints challenge.

For me this challenge was two challenges in one. Don't ask me why, because I wouldn't know how to answer it, but I really had some difficulties with the sketch. So that was my first challenge.
The seccond challenge was the paper I used for this layout. Although I really love it, I just have to face it... I'm a vintage kinda girl (LOL).
I know my way around with all kinds of vintage paper, but bold colors and I aren't the greatest match.

This is my entry for this week:

Supplies: Glitz Design "Cashmere Dame", Joy! Crafts dies "Vintage Flourishes 6003/0023" (butterfly) and "Vintage Borders 6002/0163" (swirl), ribbon, lace, rhinestones, alpha by American Craft.
And some detail pictures...

I used glitter glue to give the cut out roses just a bit extra.

Why use a stamp the traditional way, when you can also use just a small part of it?!

The butterfly and swirl I got from Every lil' Thing (Joy! Crafts).

And here's the 84th sketch...

CARDABILITIES #69: With Love

Not only is it Friday, but it's also the 15th of the month. That means it's time for another challenge of Cardabilties. What a great way to start off the weekend.

This is what I did with Cardabilities' 69th sketch:

Supplies: cardstock, Pink Paislee's "Butterfly Garden", Sizzix Bigz Die "Hearts Primitive", Joy! Crafts Vintage Flourishes die "6003/0024, Martha Stewart's "Branch" punch, Spellbinders Nestabilities, stamp by Melissa Frances, doily, ribbon, pearls, Perfect Pearl Mist

Some details:

The flower dies I got from Every Lil' Thing (Joy! Crafts).

I made the small plaster heart myself. I colored it with distress ink and sprayed a little Perfect Pearls Mist (perfect pearl), which gives it a different look then when I would've used Glimmer Mist.

And of course... the sketch:

INSPIRED BLUEPRINTS #82: Just Me

Thursday in Europe and Friday Downunder... Whatever day it is, it's time for Inspired Blueprints' new sketch and this time the second half of our Design Team are going to show you what they've done with it.

Here's my entry...

Supplies: Maya Design "Fika", swirl by Dusty Attic, Martha Stewart punches "Doily Lace" and "Double Scallop", Marianne Design die RL0115 (big butterfly), Memory Box dies "Darla Butterfly" and "Vivienne Butterfly", flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts, pearls, pearl ribbon, chippboard font, Ranger Distress Ink, embossing powder.

Some details...

And this is the 82nd sketch we had to work with this time around...

 

The big lettlers were painted with Crackle Paint (Milled Lavender). When dried I colored some of each letter with Distress Ink (Dusty Concord). Next, when dried, I embossed it with clear embossing powder and after that with some I sprinkled some colored embossing powder on it, for the 'speck effect' on the letters.

The small letters were done just about the same way. I only left out the coloring with the Distress Ink.
